GI Bill® for Veterans
The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides education benefits for armed service members who served after Sept. 11, 2001. Generally, benefits are payable for 15 years following release from active duty. Award amounts are calculated based on the amount of active service a service member completed prior to enrollment in the program. Benefits include a monthly housing allowance and a supplies stipend of up to $1,000 per year.

Veterans Education Assistance Program (VEAP)
The VEAP program is an optional matching contribution fund for veterans who entered the service between Jan. 1, 1977 and June 30, 1985. The government will match any contributions veterans make from military pay. For full details and eligibility requirements click here.
Yellow Ribbon for Veterans
As a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, TUW works with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to help pay for educational expenses that may not be covered by the GI Bill. Veterans who have more than 36 months of aggregative service following 9/11 typically receive full imbursement for public, in-state tuition. However, private and out-of-state schools may require additional funding. TUW will provide a set monetary amount toward any excess tuition, which the VA will match.
